Rose Creek Trail leaves from the far north of the complex. There is no bridge over Rose Creek on the spur trail from the campground. Just before reaching the Otokomi Lake, the trail passes Otokomi Campground, located on the left of the trail.

Running Eagle Falls Trail-NPS

Follow the northern shore line of Lower Two Medicine Lake, then turn to the south for Running Eagle Falls Trail.

Russell's Fireside Dining Room located within Lake McDonald Lodge features hunting trophies and rough-hewn wood beams recalling this building's hunting lodge origins. The dinner menu tends toward sportsmen's favorites.

At 1.1 miles, you will come to the junction for the Ole Creek trail, stay left at this point. The trail will come to a junction with the Scalplock Lookout trail at 1.5 miles, turn right. The trail climbs rather steeply up the Scalplock Mountain.

Sherburne Cutoff Trail is an extremely steep 1 mile cutoff trail

The Siyeh Pass Trail ascends along the west slope of Matahpi Peak. Junction with Piegan Pass Trail (1.2 miles). Turn left for Siyeh Pass. Junction with Siyeh Pass trail (2.7 miles), turn right for Siyeh Pass. The trail passes through Preston Park, then ascends to Siyeh Pass.

Snyder Lake Trail follows Snyder Creek eastward. At mile 1.7, junction with Mount Brown Lookout trail, stay right for Snyder Lakes. At mile 1.8, the Snyder Lake trail turns northeast, stay to the left. At mile 4.4, you will reach Snyder Lake.

The South Boundary Trail is in good condition from West Glacier to the old Nyack Ranger Station, but between Nyack and Coal Creek, the trail disappears in the large meadow southeast of the old Nyack Ranger Station.

The South Shore Josephine Lake Trail descends to the valley floor shortly after reaching Stump Lake. The trail then enters Trail 180, connecting the south shore trail with the trail around Swiftcurrent Lake. The trail winds around Stump Lake, and then to the eastern shore of Lake Josephine.

Sperry Chalet was built about 1913 by James J. Hill and son Louis Hill of the Great Northern Railway, the prime developer of Glacier National Park.

Sperry Chalet can be accessed from the trail leaving from the horse concession area at Lake McDonald Lodge takes you 4.4 miles to Snyder Lake trail on a steady rise. Another branch leaves the main trail to climb steeply 5.4 miles to Mount Brown Lookout, 2147 feet above Lake McDonald.

Sprague Creek Campground is located on the west side of Glacier National Park in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 3,500 feet, the campground encompasses 3 acres. It is set in a beautiful location in a mature cedar forest on the east shore of Lake McDonald.

St. Mary Trail descends toward the St. Mary River, and then at .3 mile it junctions with the Piegan Pass trail. Turn right for St. Mary Falls and Virginia Falls. At .7 mile, junction with St. Mary trail, and turn left for the falls. The trail crosses St. Mary River at 1.2 miles at the St.

Stoney Indian Trail is a moderately difficult trail that allows for spectacular alpine views, beautiful waterfalls and scenic natural mountain gardens. This high mountain pass is exposed to wind and sudden weather changes.

Sue Lake Obeservation Point Trail is a short (0.4 mile) steep hike to the top of Mount Kipp. From the crest, there are excellent views of the Sue Lake basin and the Mokowanis valley.

Surprise Pass Trail can be accessed by taking the Coal Creek trail (located half way between Izaak Walton and Apgar Visitor Center), keeping right for Surprise Pass. By turning left you can access Buffalo Woman and Beaver Woman Lakes area.

Swiftcurrent Motor Inn & Cabins (Many Glacier Valley)

It may be at the end of the road, but Swiftcurrent Motor Inn is a National Park enthusiast's paradise! The Motor Inn and Cottages accommodations are cozy and comfortable, perfect for the hiker, photographer or family.

Swiftcurrent Pass trail follows the Swiftcurrent valley and passes to the north of Fishercap Lake. The trail continues west passing Redrock Falls and two miles beyond it reaches Bullhead Lake.

The Trail of the Cedars begins across from the Avalanche Campground Ranger Station. The trail is a wheelchair accessible nature trail through a mature cedar/hemlock forest.

Triple Divide Trail follows the Cutbank Creek for 4 miles and then climbs out of the Atlantic Creek Valley. A campground is available for hikers near the confluences of the Atlantic and Cutbank Creeks. The Triple Divide Pass connects the Pitamakan Pass trail with the Red Eagle trail.
