Big Eddy Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 2,200 feet. It is a small site; 3 units, no designated campsites. Big Eddy is located adjacent to the Cabinet Gorge Reservoir.

Big Eddy Trail (998) climbs steeply and switchbacks sharply for the first 2.2 miles. From Squaw Peak Lookout there is an excellent view of the valley from Lake Pend Oreille to Noxon Reservoir, and the high peaks of the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness and Scotchman Peaks area.

Blacktail Creek Trail (997) offers a cool secluded wall in heavy woods and is also an access trail to Pillick Ridge. The upper portion of the creek runs year-round, but the lower part only until late August. Horse users should pack in feed.

Blue Spruce Lodge

Blue Spruce Lodge is nestled at the base of the Bitterroot Mountains, overlooking the Clark Fork River and Noxon Reservoir. Each of our log chalet has a warm interior featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, full kitchen, TV and VCR.

Bull River Campground

Bull River Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 2200 feet, the campground has 26 campsites; 2 pull-through sites. Restrooms and drinking water are provided.

Bullseye Outfitting specializes in elk, bears, deer, and mountain lions. Plan some big game hunting with Bullseye Outfitting this summer vacation.

Fished primarily by boat, this reservoir was once an excellent fishing area for rainbow, cutthroat, brook and brown trout, and largemouth bass. Unfortunately, it is being taken over by trash fish, and is fished mostly by locals who know the water.

Cabinet Ranger District

The Cabinet Ranger District encompasses a major portion of the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. Numerous roads and hiking trails lead to high peaks and spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Elk Lake, otherwise known as Simms Lake, is about 7 acres in a steep, little timbered pocket. The shore is rather brushy, with an old cabin on the southwest corner. Used mainly by locals, fishing is primarily for cutthroat trout.

Gem Peak Lookout

Four person capacity; cost $25.00. This lookout is on a 30-foot tower and has an excellent view of the Clark Fork River and Noxon area.

Land for this ranger station was purchased from a homesteader for $100, the cost of improvements. Granville 'Granny' Gordon, cowboy and friend of Teddy Roosevelt, was appointed the first District Ranger in 1907.

Jack Pine Flats Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 3100 feet. It is a small dispersed site, just 3.5 miles from the Idaho state line. Restrooms are provided, and there is space for 4 trailers.

Kismet Creek Trail (811) is suited for either a day hike or an extended backpacking trip, and provides access to the Kismet and Stevens Peak Trail area.

Lakeside Motel & Resort

The Lakeside Motel & Resort is located in Trout Creek, Montana on Hwy 200. Lakeside Motel & Resort is on the shoreline of Noxon Rapids Reservoir, of the Clark Fork River.

Lost Girl/St. Paul Peak Ski Course offers an excellent view of the Cabinet and Bitterroot Mountains, but it would take an avid skier to complete the full 14 miles.

Loveland Peak Trail (1070) is an easy-walking ridgetop trail that offers a scenic view of the Cabinet Mountains and Clark Fork valley, and an excellent view of the town of Noxon.

Marten Creek Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 2,200 feet. It is a small campground located at Marten Creek Bay on the Noxon Reservoir. There are 4 campsites, 2 group shelters, and restrooms at Marten Creek Campground.

North Shore Campground

North Shore Campground is located in the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 2,200 feet. In a nice location, it is located on the Noxon Reservoir near the town of Trout Creek on the Clark Fork River. There are 13 campsites with water and restrooms provided.
