A Li'l Bit of Heaven has 2 very secluded custom built log cabins in a setting that borders State and Forest Service Land. They are on a working ranch at the most southern end of the Bitterroot Valley.

Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness

The Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness is a 158,516-acre wilderness of rugged mountains saddling the Continental Divide located in southwestern Montana approximately 22 miles west of Anaconda, Montana.

Located on the Lewis and Clark Trail, the Broad Axe Lodge is a small, scenic resort nestled in a meadow on the East Fork of the Bitterroot River and surrounded by National Forest.

Bunky Ranch Outfitters offers day hunts in the Bitterroot Valley. We access our area by using 4x4 transportation. Our hunting area is huge and the elk numbers in the valley are very good and we have the ability to hunt many different areas during the course of your hunt.

Chief Joseph Cross Country Ski Trail is groomed weekly. Eight loop trails which provide a variety of lengths and skill levels. Trail system starts on north side of Highway 43 at Chief Joseph Pass. Plowed parking for 55 to 60 vehicles. Toilet and maps available at trailhead.

Approximately 50 miles of this trail occupies a portion of the southeast boundary between the Bitterroot and Beaverhead National Forest. A number of developed trailheads provide access to Trail 9.

Crazy Creek Campground is located in Bitterroot National Forest at am elevation of 4500 feet. The campground has a lower and upper portion. The the upper portion for general camping. The lower portion is for campers with horses. Hiking may be enjoyed on a trail leads out of the campground.

There is a $30 a night usage fee and a maximum stay of 7 days. The cabin will accommodate up to 8 people. It is a rustic cabin. Winter access may require a 3/4-mile travel by snowmobile or skis/snowshoes. Electricity and firewood are provided.

Guard station is a cabin with an 8 person capacity. Cabin is rustic but has electricity and an airtight woodstove for heat (firewood provided). Cooking facilities and bunks (without mattresses) provided. Additional classroom facility also available to accommodate large group functions.

East Fork House

Located along the Lewis and Clark trail in the heart of hunting and fishing country, East Fork House (often referred to as 'Fort Clark') is situated just a few feet from the East Fork of the Bitterroot River.

Elk Ridge Cabin is a cabin for all seasons and all reasons. Experience Western ambiance with a wildlife theme in this 1100 square foot hand hewn new log cabin.

Indian Trees Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest of southwest Montana. At an elevation of 4500 feet, the campground encompasses 7 acres of land. There are 16 campsites, as well as water and restroom facilities and garbage pick up.

Jennings Campground is located in Bitterroot National Forest near the East Fork of the Bitterroot River providing great fishing opportunities. The area is abundant with a variety of wildlife such as big horn sheep, deer, elk, and moose. There are 4 campsites and restrooms provided.

Lost Trail Hot Springs Resort

Martin Creek Campground is located in the Bitterroot National Forest of southwest Montana. At an elevation of 5500 feet, this campground encompasses an area of 3 acres. There are 7 campsites with water and restrooms available. Pets allowed as long as they remain on a leash.

The lookout will accommodate up to four people; cost $30.00. It's the ideal family getaway. McCart Lookout is located on the edge of the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness and offers beautiful views of the Pintler Mountains to the east and the Bitterroot Mountains to the west.

There is a $30 a night usage fee. The cabin will accommodate up to four people. You must make a difficult 3 mile hike up to the cabin or use the 7 mile horse trail of medium difficulty. The building was restored in 1999. Propane heating/cooking stove and kitchen utensils provided.
