Big Hole Lookout Trail (368) begins at the upper gate on Road 875. Lower gate is closed to motorized vehicles from December 1 to May 15. This is the short summer access to the peak.

Cabin Lake Trail (459) is the primary access to Cabin Lake and Cube Iron-Mt. Silccox Roadless Area. You can make a loop hike back to the trailhead. This route features sub-alpine lake basins and high elevation ridgetop topography. Non-motorized use only.

Cascade Falls Trail (242) starts in the campground and ends at Cascade Falls Overlook. A brochure is available at the campground. There are benches at the overlook and along the trail.

Clark Fork Valley Hospital, a private, not-for-profit facility governed by a local board, was opened in 1971 - the result of a community driven effort to build a modern hospital in a central location to serve the residents of Sanders County and the surrounding area.

The Crossroads Motel and RV Park is a quiet motel located on the east edge of town. We pride ourselves on our clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly service.

We are seven blocks from a pool and 1/2 block from a restaurant.

Eddy Ridge Trail (1130) takes you to high ridge sub-alpine terrain. It features views of Clark Fork River Canyon.

Evans Gulch Trail (696) takes you through steep, brushy, timbered terrain to a sub-alpine lake basin. Be prepared for several creek crossings.

Honeymoon Creek Trail (469) goes through steep timbered terrain, leading to sub-alpine area and lakes. It is also an access to Cube Iron - Mt. Silcox Roadless Area trail network. All these trails are designated non-motorized

Horse Plains Photo Adventures is located in western Montana. There is a splendid mix of mountains, water, public land and private amenities that provide unlimited opportunities for photography, hiking, birding, wildlife viewing and wild flower displays for the ultimate Montana Safari.

Knox Creek Trail (571) is a non-motorized trail used primarily for fall hunter access. It goes through steep brushy terrain to the top of the divide between the Clark Fork and St. Regis river valleys. There is a stockramp and a hitchrail at the trailhead.

The Plains - Paradise area is a beautiful area to visit. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy as we are located in a valley surrounded by mountains and the Clark Fork River runs through the valley.
