Rainbow Ridge Ski Trail has a parking capacity for 10 vehicles. The trail is shared with snowmobiles.

Red Top Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 3,000 feet. This nice little site is located in a natural forest environment and is perfect for those seeking the quiet and solitude that nature offers.

The Ross Creek Scenic Area is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. This 100-acre scenic area is home to a grove of giant, ancient western red cedars. Some of these trees grow up to 12 feet in diameter and 175 feet in height.

Ross Creek Ski Trail is probably most enjoyed by intermediate and advanced skiers leading to the Ross Creek Scenic Area. There are a number of steep sections with sharp turns that should be skied with caution. No motor vehicles are allowed after December 1.

Following Ross Creek the entire distance, Ross Creek Trail (142) is an excellent day hike through a closed canopy of cedars and hemlocks. During high runoff fording the creek may be difficult, so caution should be exercised.

Savage Lake is a state fishing access site located in northwest Montana. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the lake. This is a day use area only. A relatively warm lake nestled beneath the Cabinet Mountains, it provides a comfortable experience for boating and fishing.

The Boondocks is located off the Main Highway and caters primarily to the local market. Considered a Mom and Pop type business, it offers, pictures, memorabilia and information on the local area.

Visitors can walk among cedars that are more than 500 years old and 250 feet high at the Ross Creek Cedar Grove Scenic Area (295-4693) south of this northwestern Montana town.

The Troy Library provides many services in-house. Come check us out. Most services are either free or have a nominal charge to cover the cost of consumable materials.

Yaak Falls campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana at an elevation of 2,400 feet. This nice little campground is found in a natural forest setting. It is a serene site and a favorite of those who visit.

Road conditions are reasonably good to the junction with the Yaak Mountain road. Check at the Ranger Station for updated road conditions and to verify the operating dates for this tower.
