Two person capacity; cost $20. From the lookout you can see spectacular views of the Thompson River drainage. The lookout building is rustic. It was constructed in 1927 and is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.

Rocky Point Outfitters is located in Lolo National Forest of Northwest Montana and offers photography at its best! Big game, bird hunting and year round vacations are also offered. We are a member of Montana Outfitters Association.

The fairgrounds are located on Willis and 5th Avenue on the west end of the Clark Fork River bridge just outside of Plains, Montana. Set along the shores of the river, the fairgrounds are treed and the lawns are well maintained.

South Fork Four Lakes Trail (460) is a primary access route to the Cube Iron-Mt. Silcox Roadless Area. It affords a loop route with others returning to the point of origin.

Spring Creek Trail (370) takes you to Big Hole Peak or back down Munson Creek to Highway 200.

Squaw Creek Trail (520) dead ends on a ridge in the Mt. Silcox/Flat Iron Roadless Area. Non-motorized use only.

The Pizza Shop

The Pizza Shop is one of the restaurants in Plains, Montana. Plains, or Wild Horse Plains as it was originally named, was the winter retreat for wild horses because of its mild winters. The first Saturday of each June is Plains Day with parades and vendor sales in thanks to its citizens.

Thompson Falls-Mount Headley Trail (450) climbs steeply to Mount Silcox. It provides access to sub-alpine ridgetop area and lake basins. It is an access to the Cube Iron-Mt. Silcox Roadless Area. All trail use is non-motorized

Thompson River Mount Headley Trail (433) is a very long trail that circumnavigates the West Fork of Thompson River Road and goes into the Cube Iron/Mt. Silcox Roadless Area.

Twenty-Four Mile Trail (1707) is a short trail to Clear Peak on the Bitterroot Divide between Idaho and Montana.

Vermillion Pass/Mount Headley Trail (528) is a ridge top trail that provides access to the northern end of Cube Iron/Mt. Silcox Roadless Area.

West Fork Dry Creek Trail (572) is a short trail that intersects the Continental Divide trail.

Wilkes Creek Trail (584) is a creek bottom trail which eventually climbs up to a major watershed divide. The trail forks near the upper end and so provides a loop opportunity. This trail is a popular fall hunter access route.

Winniemuck Trail (506) climbs steeply to access a high elevation divide and lake basins in Cube Iron/Mt. Silcox Roadless Area. Non-motorized use only.
