Hungry Horse

The Spotted Bear Lookout Trail offers a strenuous hike through a heavily forested environment broken up by small meadows. The trail ends at a fire lookout tower. Spectacular views in all directions can be seen from the lookout tower.

Stanton Creek Trail offers outstanding and seldom seen views of Glacier National Park, the rugged Middle Fork Divide, and Hungry Horse Reservoir.

Wheeler Creek Trail joins the Alpine Trail 7 on the south boundary of the Jewel Basin.

Wilderness Lodge/Skyline Outfit offers lodging in rustic cabins with private baths, and meals and provides trail rides, river floats, fly fishing, spin casting, and hunting for elk, bear, mountain lion, mountain goat, moose, white tail, and mule deer. Fly fishing instruction also available.

Eight person capacity; cost $45.00. Zip's Place Cabin has propane heating/cooking, electricity. Water piped to cabin during summer and early fall for shower and flush toilet. Visitors must provide their own water at other times.
