Gordon's Highland Motel

A stay at Gordon's Highland Motel provides the opportunity to enjoy hunting, fishing, river rafting and various other entertainment and recreation.

Grasshopper Creek Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Castle Mountains at an elevation of 5700 feet. Grasshopper Creek flows through the campground with sites among thick stand of conifers; the creek can be heard throughout campground.

Grassy Mountain Lodge

Grassy Mountain Lodge & Cabins has 4 log cabins with 3 separate rooms per cabin. Rooms are similar to motel rooms with a bed, desk, dresser, coffee machine, walk in closet, fireplace and propane heat. A total of 12 rooms.

Happy Days Cafe is located in a friendly little community with a mountain view in the Smith River Valley. Come and enjoy the 50's and 60's nostalgia decor and atmosphere. We are noted for the biggest and best burgers in the state.

Howard Zehntner Hunting is a family operated big game outfitting business with many years of hunting experience. We do elk and deer hunts, both archery and rifle as well as mountain lion hunts. Fishing is available, but more of an 'extra,' than a main activity.

Jumping Creek Campground is located in Lewis and Clark National Forest. The campground is well back from US Route 89 on Sheep Creek at an elevation of 5800 feet. Several of the campsites overlook the creek and most of the 10 sites are nestled under mature spruce trees.

Six person capacity; cost $40.00. Parking plowed in winter. Near cross-country and snowmobile trails. Firewood, electrical lighting, refrigerator and cooking facilities provided. Renter must provide water.

Kings Hill Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Little Belt Mountains at an elevation of 7,400 feet.

Located in White Sulphur Springs on US Highway 89 between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. General information and maps are available. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Kings Hill Scenic Byway

Passing through the Lewis and Clark National Forest and Little Belt Mountains, the Kings Hill Scenic Byway allows travelers to leisurely savor the rugged beauty and invigorating fresh air that are part of the Montana experience.

Lost Stove Trail (346) is the quickest and shortest route into the upper part of the Tenderfoot Creek. The recommended season of use is early summer to late autumn. Sedans and short motorhomes can travel the roads in dry weather.

Meagher County Chamber of Commerce

Full of Western flavor, this town welcomes visitors to museums, history and recreation. Enjoy the mineralized hot springs for which the town was named at Spa Hot Springs. (547-3366) Fee.

Memorial Falls Trail (738) is an excellent one hour roundtrip hike with 0.5 mile walk to two scenic falls just off Highway 89. The trail winds along the creek. The recommended season of use is early summer to mid-autumn. Sightseeing and photography.

Ming Coulee Trail (307) provides good view points to view surrunding country. The upper portion of the trail is part of the Deep Creek Figure 8 Loop National Recreation Trail. Heavy use from horses and motorized vehicles occur on the upper portion of the trail.

Ming-Sand Coulee (312) is a shortcut to get to Ming or Sand Coulee. It is an excellent loop-type trail for a 1 to 5 day trip in the Deep Creek area. The recommended season of use is late spring to late autumn. This trail offers good views of the surrounding country.

Montana Sunrise Lodge

Come visit the perfect family getaway in the mountains of west central Montana. The Montana Sunrise Lodge is comfortably furnished and includes laundry facilities and a gas barbecue grill on the deck.

Monument Ridge Trail (339) is park of the Deep Creek Figre 8 Loop National Recreation Trail. The first 1.1 miles can be driven in a 4x4 or other high clearance vehicle. The last 1.6 miles is very steep and rough even for hiking. The recommended season of use is early summer to mid-autumn.

North Fork Crawford Creek Trail (329) is a good one day trip. The recommended season of use is early summer to mid-autumn. The trail starts behind the stations and crosses back and forth across the creek. Please leave all gates as you find them.

Old Baldy Trail is an excellent trail to use if planning a 2 to 4 day trip into the Deep Creek area. The recommnded season of use is mid-spring to late autumn. The trail is only a fair access route top reach either Smith River or Tenderfoot Creek.

Parker Ridge Trail (309) is one of the few access routes to the Smith River from the National Forest. First 2 miles of the trail is used by 4x4 vehicles. Last mile of the trail is very steep and rough. Most of the trail is in open country and provides a good view of the surrounding area.
