Aspen Campground

Aspen Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Little Belt Mountains. At an elevation of 5200 feet, the campground encompasses 5 acres. It is located in a lodgepole pine forest on a fairly flat area.

Belt Creek Ranger District

Located north of Neihart, Montana about 4 miles along US Highway 89 between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. General forest information and maps are available. Office hours 8:00am to 4:30pm - Generally open on weekends in the summer.

Conveniently located in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains, Neihart is approximately one half of the way between the Yellowstone Park entrance at Gardiner and the Glacier Park entrance at East Glacier. Bob's Place is a modern facility located eight short miles from Showdown Ski Resort.

Deadman Ski Trail is not groomed.

Many Pines Campground

Many Pines Campground is located in Lewis and Clark National Forest at an elevation of 5,900 feet. It stretches along US Route 89 and Belt Creek in a stand of mixed conifers (spruce, lodgepole and fir). There are a couple trails, such as Memorial Falls, just north of campground on US Route 89.

Length: 2.1 km of easiest, 2.2 km of more difficult and 1.2 km of most difficult trail; no grooming.

Moose Creek Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Little Belt Mountains. It is located in a lodgepole pine Forest on a fairly flat area. Moose Creek is located nearby and hiking trails are accessible. Please limit stay to 14 days. Small fee required.

Porphyry Peak Lookout

Porphyry Peak Lookout Tower was built in 1960 and offers spectacular views of the Lewis and Clark National Forest. It is manned from June until September when the fire danger is high and the forest is being used by fishermen, cattlemen, campers and loggers.

Showdown Montana

Showdown Montana is nestled high in the Little Belt Mountains of the Northern Rockies in central Montana. There is 1,400 vertical feet of forest-lined trails, open slopes and glades for skiers of every ability.

Winter lovers will enjoy Silver Crest Ski Trail and its 13.8 km of groomed ski trails and 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, 7 miles south of Neihart. All trails create a loop that begin and end at the Kings Hill Recreation Area parking lot off Highway 89 southeast of Great Falls.
