At least three generations have depended upon the courteous reliable service provided by this longtime Shelby landmark, Rainbow Conoco. Rainbow Conoco is on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1936, the station remains virtually unchanged.

Amtrak Station offers east to west passage, 7 days a week on the Empire Express. You make reservations and ticket purchases on the premises. Rimrock Stage buses can be boarded daily at the station and runs north & south where you can make connection with other transportation lines.

The Shelby Motel features individual cabins that are rented by the week and month, as well as by the night. Each cabin has a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with a shower, walk-in closet and a living room.
