Confederate Recreation Area located in southwest Montana on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. There is a campground with basic facilities but no drinking water. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the reservoir. There is a boat launch for carry-in launching only.

The Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (440) and (337) offers outstanding views as it follows the Continental Divide through the Helena National Forest.

Area maps available are the Helena National Forest Visitor Map and USGS Map1: Elliston, Township 9N; Range 6W; Section 2.

Cottonwood is a state recreation area located on the southern tip of Canyon Ferry Reservoir in southwest Montana. There are three camping sites and toilet facilities available. Fishing may be enjoyed by the angler.

Coulter Campground

Access to Coulter Campground is by boat or trail #257. Docks are available for private boats, or you can take the commercial tour boat from the Gates of the Mountains Boat Club which docks at Meriwether Picnic Area 1 mile south of Coulter and hike back to Coulter Campground.

Court Sheriff Campground includes 25 campsites next to Canyon Ferry Lake. Drinking water and restrooms are provided. Swimming, fishing, and boating may be enjoyed on the lake. Please limit your stay to 14 days. You will be asked to pay a small fee for the use of this campground.

Sunday service is at 10:30am.

Cromwell Dixon Campground

Cromwell Dixon Campground is located in Helena National Forest in southwest Montana. The site was named after the first aviator to cross the Continental Divide (1911). At an elevation of 6325 feet, The Cromwell Dixon Campground covers an area of 9 acres with 14 camp sites and 9 trailer sites.

Crowe Lodge at the Lake

Crowe Lodge at the Lake enjoys a spectacular setting with incredible views and recreation opportunities! The home has five bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There are two bedrooms on the main floor of the home (same floor as the living areas).

The Dairy Queen serves delicious hot eats and cool treats in a clean, friendly smoke-free environment. Choose from Montana grown beef brugers to porkie sandwiches, from the only choc lovers blizzard to delectable hot fudge desserts and ice cream cakes.

Missouri River Fly-Fishing Specialist: David Payne Outdoors. The Missouri at it's best is a true fly fishing paradise. Large trout sustained by plenty of food and constant flows inhabit the river in the 36 mile stretch from Holter Dam downstream to the town of Cascade.

Devil? Elbow Campground

The roads out to Devil's Elbow are all paved and the driving time from Helena is about 20 minutes. Boat launch, Day Use Area, toilets, fire-pits, and picnic tables to make your stay enjoyable.

The Eagle Guard Station is located in the Elkhorns Mountains. This 3-room log cabin was built in 1890 by Dick Owen for his family, was acquired by the Forest Service in 1906, and restored in 1992.
