Anderrick Ski Trail connects Anderson Mountain Road and Richardson Creek Trail to form a loop. This trail is not groomed.

Anderson Mountain Road Ski Trail forms a junction with the Richardson Creek Trail 104 at 1.5 miles and with Cabinet Creek Trail 101 and May Creek Trail 103 at about 2.5 miles.

This two bedroom, one bath home is located in a very private setting on a 14,000 acre working ranch just north of the charming town of Wisdom, Montana. The remote location bordering US Forest Service land has plentiful wildlife, including elk, moose and pronghorn antelope.

Big Hole Crossing Cabin was the original Women's Club in Wisdom and we have tried to make the cabin comfy and cozy while retaining its' 1913 character. The cabin has all the amenities with a cozy gas heating stove and view of the Pioneer Mountains.

Big Hole Crossing Restaurant offers dining at it's best in the wild, wild west. We are located in the small town of Wisdom in the heart of cowboy country and the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest.

Big Hole National Battlefield

The Battle of the Big Hole on August 9 and 10, 1877, was a turning point of the Nez Perce War, a five-month war in which U.S. Army forces tried to place one third of the Nez Perce tribe on a reservation.

Also called the Trail Creek Snowmobile Trail. Accesses Hogan cabin rental in 6 miles. Easiest trail rating. Must stay off cross-country ski trails marked with blue diamonds.

Cabinet Creek Ski Trail begins at plowed parking area on Highway 43 and follows Cabinet Creek to junction with Anderson Mountain Road; has some steep pitches. Can use either Anderson Mountain Road or Richardson Ridge Trail to make semi-loops.

Conover? Trading Post

Conover's Trading Post carries souvenirs, gift items, fishing tackle and bait, hunting supplies, maps and Montana fishing and hunting licenses. Also available are tourist information guides, free Montana highway maps and postcards priced at twenty-five and fifty cents each.

The Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (9) is comprised of many trails going through different National Forests. The sections listed here are in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Wisdom Ranger District.

Fishtrap Creek State Fishing Access is located in southwest Montana. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on Big Hole River. Camping is permitted with a boat launch, toilets, water and access for camp trailers. There is a 7 day stay limit.

Gibbons Pass Road Ski Trail is open to snowmobiles. Access Hogan cabin rental.

Length: 7.5 km of excellent skiing with moderate slope and open areas for telemarking. 3.2 km of easiest trail then 4.3 km of more difficult trail; no grooming

From Big Hole Pass, drops down into Idaho along the road in the vicinity of Gibbonsville, Idaho. This trail is groomed intermittently.

Hell Roaring Trail is in pretty good shape and was reconstructed in 1990. The trail accesses the west end of the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness Area.

Four person capacity; cost $25.00. Access from nearest road by snowmobile is 5 miles and for skiers, 3.2 miles by trail. Winter rental only.
