Allen's, known to customers as The Trading Post, is one of America's few surviving general mercantile, selling everything from dry goods to groceries, fishing and hunting licenses to Native American silver jewelry. The century old general store is a journey back in time.

Augusta Information Station Office

Maps and general information available for National Forest users. Open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Remainder of year, open 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Bean Lake state fishing access is located in northwest Montana near Great Falls. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the lake. At an elevation of 4500, the site encompasses 17 acres. There are 50 campsites. A boat launch, toilets and access for camp trailers are available.

Benchmark Campground is located on Wood Canyon Ford in the Sawtooth Range of the Rocky Mountain Front Range in a variety of conifers and aspen, which provide all sites with shade. There are 25 campsites to choose from.

At the Benchmark Wilderness Outfitter Guest Ranch clean, comfortable, secluded rustic cabins surround a main lodge in the heart of Montana's famous Bob Marshall Wilderness country. Enjoy spectacular fly fishing, wildlife, and wilderness pack trips. Big game hunts available.

Big George Gulch Trail (251) is 6.1 miles and recommended for use from mid-spring to mid-fall, difficulty rating moderate to more difficult. The trail transverses a pass and is steep in places. Wildlife attractions include bighorn sheep, mountain goat, mule deer and bear.

Ford Creek Guest Ranch

Ford Creek Guest Ranch is a 'Premium Quality' guest ranch in Montana's Rocky Mountains, just a short distance from Glacier National Park. We offer a vast number of daily activities for our guests to partake in, but specialize in three.

Hannan Gulch Trail (240) follows an old seismic road most of its distance and is easy hiking. The last mile becomes moderately difficult. The gulch is open allowing for good views. Castle Reef rises impressively along the eastern side.

The Home Gulch - Lime Trail (267) is of gentle to moderate grades. The trail offers a fine view of Sawtooth Ridge, the sheer rock walls on the west side of Home and Lime Gulch and excellent vistas from the passes. Area wildlife include mule deer, big horn sheep, elk and bear.

Home Gulch Campground stretches along the North Fork of the Sun River between two towering cliffs at an elevation of 4,580 feet. Most of the 15 sites overlook the river and are shaded by aspen and alder trees. The interior road is narrow.

JJJ Wilderness Ranch

The JJJ Wilderness Ranch is a family owned and operated guest ranch around 100 miles south of Glacier National Park on the eastern front of the Rocky Mountains. The Barker family has shared this western tradition for over 2 decades to a limited number of guests each season.

Themed 'Montana 1900', Latigo & Lace dresses up Main Street with its western storefront complete with barn wood siding, cedar shakes and a distinctive sign above the door.

Mark Young Outfitters gives you exclusive use of the Ranch property and 3 other private ranches totaling 30,000 acres of pristine hunting lands. We specialize in trophy whitetail, each year we take bucks in the 140 to 170 class.

Mills Wilderness Adventures offers Bob Marshall Wilderness pack trips by horse with excellent fishing. We have over 25 years experience and welcome small and/or large groups.

Mortimer Gulch Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in Central Montana at an elevation of 5,000 feet. The campground is pack it in, pack it out and composed of two loops--upper and lower. It was reconstructed the summer of 1998.

Mortimer Gulch Trail (252) leads to Mortimer Gulch, which is approximately 7 miles and is predominantly open with scattered forest stands of aspen, Douglas-fir and lodgeple pine. Large aspen groves dominate the lower reaches of the gulch. The trail is moderately steep most of the way.

Nilan Reservoir Fishing Access Site does permit camping. There is a 14 day stay limit. A boat launch and toilets are available. Open all season.

South Fork Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. At an elevation of 5500 feet, the campground encompasses 9 acres. There are seven campsites provided with restrooms and drinking water. Fishing may be enjoyed by the angler nearby.

St. Matthias Church is a fine example of Vatican II architecture. The glass and stations are designed by local artists. Mass of obligation is at 5:00pm Saturday during the summer, and 9:00am Saturday during the winter months.
