Richard Alberts

The Richard Alberts' guided tours are specifically the westward route. This encompasses Clark's land route and campsites plus Lewis' river route and campsites. Clark's use of the Indian trails and the location of these trails will be explained and seen.

Originally Rimini was named Young Ireland. History has it that Rimini was either named after a city in Italy or a drama production that traveled through during its formative years. Several of Rimini's old buildings are inhabited today and make up the Rimini community.

The Rimini-Elliston-Basin Snowmobile Loop trailhead begins at Moose Creek on the Rimini Road, with groomed route on forest roads, mostly timbered, with some ridgetop vistas. 161 miles of marked, ungroomed and groomed trails.

Riverside is a BLM/Bureau of Reclamation area along the Missouri River at the north end of Canyon Ferry Reservoir. There are about 34 camping sites and a 14 day stay limit. This is a scenic area with very few trees, but great river access. A boat launch is accessible at the site.

Ryan & Maclean

Ryan & Maclean, or 'The Tea Room' as it is known locally, offers a quiet space to gather your thoughts and a gathering place to meet your friends. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a European tea room, enhanced with a Celtic theme.

Shilo Inn

Shilo amenities include in-room ironing boards, mini refridgeratos, microwave, in room coffe, hair dryer, Internet acess, complimentary continental breakfast, fruit, popcorn and coffee available 24 hours a day in the lobby.

Helena's Shining Mountains Speedway brings in street stick, super stock, sprint and modified stock-car racers from around the state. Formerly the Capital City Speedway, it is now owned by Dan and Barbara Mann of Great Falls. Racing season is from May through September.

Sleeping Giant Wilderness Area

The Sleeping Giant Wilderness Study Area is a non-motorized recreation area located on the west side of the Missouri River and Holter Lake, 30 miles north of Helena, Montana. The rock formation is a well-known landmark, readily visible from Helena.

Enjoy complete comfort in this newly renovated townhouse in Helena. It is only 3 blocks from the Montana State Capitol Offices, the State Historical Museum, and only 4 blocks from the city 'Open Space forested park land.' The Sleepy Senator is a richly decorated private luxury suite.

Spite Hill Fishing Access Site does permit camping. There is a fee and a 14 day stay limit. Toilets available. Open all season.

Spokane Bar Sapphire Mine and Gold Fever Rock Shop

The Spokane gravel bar was named by geologists mapping the Missouri River area in the early 1900's. The name may have referred to the Spokane Hills which composed of Spokane shale. This gravel bar is the location of an exciting sapphire strike along the Missouri River.

Spring Meadow Lake State Park

Located on the western edge of Helena, this 30-acre spring fed man made lake is noted for its clarity and depth. Open to non-motorized boats only, the lake is popular for swimming, sunbathing, scuba diving, wildlife viewing, and fishing for trout, bass, and sunfish.

Springhill

Springhill Studio is a quiet three room, comfortably furnished mountain studio, nestled in the pines three miles south of Helena. Its restful setting looks out on the wooded flanks of Skihi Peak.

St. Helena Cathedral

The Cathedral of St. Helena was constructed at the turn of the century during the episcopate of Bishop John Carroll. It is an outstanding example of Geometric Gothic architecture, patterned after the Votive Church of the Sacred Heart in Vienna, Austria.

St. John? Lutheran Church

St. John's Lutheran Church was established in 1896 and is on Helena Avenue just south of Highway 12. Winter worship services are 8:30am and 10:30am with Sunday School for all ages. Worship service in the summer only at 9:00am.

Saturday vigil 4:30pm. Sunday eucharist 7:30, 9 and 11:00am. Daily Eucharist 12:10pm. (Monday-Thursday) Friday mass 10:00am at Big Sky Care Center First Friday of every month 10:00am mass at Eagle's Manor.Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday 3:00 - 4:00pm.

Sunday worship 8:00am and 10:15am. The English country gothic-style church was built in 1932. The stones come from a Helena-area quarry.
