May Creek Ski Trail begins at May Creek Campground and joins Cabinet Creek Trail at the end. Can use Cabinet Creek and May Creek Ridge Trails to form loop. Accesses May Creek rental cabin December 1 to March 31. Access to rental cabin is 2.5 miles of the easiest trail.

McCabe - Northfork Blackfoot Snowmobile Trail is a scenic trail that begins near Ovando. Seeley Lake to North Fork Blackfoot River is 38 miles. It is another 27 miles to Lincoln (refer to Lincoln Area Snowmobile Map). Respect private land and please stay on the designated trail.

McCabe Creek Trail (1404) leads to the Camp Lake/Pass trails or takes you to the Monture Creek Trailhead.

The length of this trail is 6 miles. Coordinates are Township 8N; Range 2W; Section 10. Trail begins at Trail Junction 343 and ends at Trail Junction 113. Maps available are the Helena National Visitor Map, Elkhorn Mountains Travel and Recreation Map, and USGS Map1 Casey Peak.

McGuire Mountain Trail

McGuire Mountain Trail is an easy hike with very few steep pitches. It follows McGuire Creek for the entire length and is close to the creek the last 2 miles. Trail length depends on snow plowing of access road. Limited parking.

Facilities at the trailhead are an unloading area and plenty of parking space.

Meatrack Trail (23) can be accessed from Fourmile Trail 22. Goes to Meatrack Meadows. Access to Trail Creek Trail 231 and USGS Trail 24. This trail is normally in good condition, but it is rocky in spots.

Memorial Falls Trail (738) is an excellent one hour roundtrip hike with 0.5 mile walk to two scenic falls just off Highway 89. The trail winds along the creek. The recommended season of use is early summer to mid-autumn. Sightseeing and photography.

Meriwether Canyon Trail

The Meriwether Canyon Trail follows Meriwether Canyon into the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness. The Meriwether Picnic Area is a popular picnic site on the Missouri River in the Gates of the Mountains area, featuring soaring limestone cliffs.

Middle Fork Sweet Grass Creek Trail (123) travels from the junction with Sweet Grass Trail 122 to the Middle Fork Sweet Grass Divide above Campfire Lake, and access Trespass Creek and the Shields River area on the Livingston Ranger District.

Mill Creek Snowmobile Trail is a cooperative operation with Park County, Big Sky Snowriders and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Begins above Mill Creek Station at the Snowbank Trailhead. Parking capacity for 15 cars.

A hiking and horse trail climbing down from Mill Gulch Road up and over Ramshorn and Porphyry Mountains then down the South Fork of Mill Creek to the Mill Creek Road.

Miller Loop Snowmobile Trail is a cooperative operation with Upper Yellowstone Snowmobile Club and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Longer trips may be made by combining routes. Park in Cooke City.

Miller Ridge Trail (506) offers a ridge top hiking or stock use experience. Starting on a fairly steep south slope, the trail switch-backs up to a more gentle ridge top mid-section, followed by a short climb to the Libby Divide trail.

Length: 3.6 miles marked ungroomed trail.

Ming Coulee Trail (307) provides good view points to view surrunding country. The upper portion of the trail is part of the Deep Creek Figure 8 Loop National Recreation Trail. Heavy use from horses and motorized vehicles occur on the upper portion of the trail.

Ming-Sand Coulee (312) is a shortcut to get to Ming or Sand Coulee. It is an excellent loop-type trail for a 1 to 5 day trip in the Deep Creek area. The recommended season of use is late spring to late autumn. This trail offers good views of the surrounding country.
