The elevation gain along Mt.Thompson - Seton Trail is 3,120 feet. Season is summer through fall. Special attractions include third highest peak in the district, remnants of old fire lookout.

Nary Time Trail is mainly used for hunting accessibly. It provides opportunities for day hikes or short overnight trips. Accessible all year.

On Nasukoin Trail, enjoy outstanding views in all directions and the highest peak on the district, plus various lakes.

Trail Begins: Red Meadow Creek Roads 115 and 589.Trail Ends: Nasukoin Peak

Neil Connection Trail (653) follows a primitive road along foot hills of Big Snowies from Brooks Coulee to Timber Creek, crossing East and West Fork drainages of Blake Creek. Provides access to Neil Creek Trail. The trailhead in Brooks Coulee has a stock ramp, feed bunker and parking area.

Niel Creek Trail (654) follows a primitive road up Neil Creek for first 0.5 mile. From this point trail is closed to motorized travel for last 2 miles because of the switchbacks up the ridge to Ice Cave. Good views of Musselshell Valley, Crazy and Beartooth Mountains.

Nevada Creek Trail

The Nevada Creek Trail is a moderate trail through conifers. Trail intersects with Trail 440 at the Continental Divide after approximately 4.5 miles.

New World Gulch Trail offers mountain bike opportunities in summer months. This trail is not groomed.

National historic trail established in 1986. Not regularly maintained. Maintained every 3 years. Trail classified as moderate to difficult. The trail follows the route of the Nez Perce War.

Ninemile Divide Trail (51) runs along or close to the ridgetop. It take you through lodgepole pine stands, beargrass and huckleberry patches. There are some good views of the Clark Fork Valley and side drainages. It's a good early summer or fall hike.

Noisy Creek Trail (263) is lightly used and accesses remote unroaded country, making it an excellent trip for those seeking solitude. There is a good campsite at the trail's end.

Length: 4 miles. Moderate difficulty

Nome Point Trail (374) is a very short hike or ride up to the point. The road is gated at the bottom so it's a couple miles before you get to the trail.

North Cottonwood Trail offers mountain bike opportunities in summer months.

Length: 4.5 miles. .Trail Begins: Pass Creek County Road.Trail Ends: Trail 534 near Sacagewea Peak

North Fork Crawford Creek Trail (329) is a good one day trip. The recommended season of use is early summer to mid-autumn. The trail starts behind the stations and crosses back and forth across the creek. Please leave all gates as you find them.

North Fork Deep Creek Trail (303) starts in Mill Creek, at the beginning of the Deep Creek Figure 8 Loop Recreation Trail. The trail accesses the Smith River and fishing in the North Fork of Deep Creek. Use of the upper 6.1 miles of trail by horses and motorized vehicles is heavy.

North Fork Deep Creek Trail (72) climbs gradually up the steep North Fork Deep Creek valley and, after passing through the wide divide between Mt. Petery and the mountains to the north, emerges on a ridge overlooking the valley of Williams Creek drainage and the mountains beyond.

North Fork Fish Creek Trail (103) is closed to motorized vehicles.

Length: 10.7 miles.Trail Begins: Clear Water Crossing Station.Trail Ends: Idaho State line and junction with Trail 738

North Fork Granite Trail (5) is north of the Pilots Knob trail. It follows the Bitterroot Divide to Granite Peak. This is high dry country with Ponderosa Pine forest. There is no drinking water available along the trail, so please remember to bring you own water.

The North Fork Teton Trail (107) heads toward the West Fork Station and passes through the narrow and winding walls of Box Canyon.
