Art Museum of Missoula

The Art Museum of Missoula exhibits contemporary art of the region. Now in its 27th year, the Art Museum has grown from a summer arts festival to a thriving institution serving the Northwest. Accredited by the American Association of Museums since 1987.

Beaverhead County Museum

Blaine County Museum

The Blaine County Museum is an historical museum with an emphasis on the homestead era. Originally opening in 1977, the museum is located in 'Griffin Hall', an historic building built in 1915.

The Brand Bar Museum is in the Town Square of Ovando, Montana, in the heart of the Blackfoot Valley. It is near what was once the Cokalahiskit Trail, now a part of the Lewis and Clark Trail on Highway 200.

Our museum focuses on local area history. There are many exhibits, including those concerning mining, dental, a homestead cabin, a general store, a rural school, fossils, and the military. There are oral history tapes as well as bound volumes and newspapers (1870 to date) No admittance fee.

Carbon County Museum

The Carbon County Museum in Red Lodge was first started in 1959 by Alice Greenough to house the collection of her world-renowned rodeo family.

Carter County Museum

Carter County Museum, founded in 1936, holds the distinct honor of being the first county museum founded in the State of Montana.

Cascade Senior Center and Museum

The Museum features the history of the local area and contains photographs, old business machines and records/ledgers, saddles, medical, a military display, a 1950s-era display and replicas of local brands including Capt. Lewis and Charlie Russell's.

Castle Museum

'The Castle' is an imposing mansion built in 1892 by Bryon Roger Sherman, and is now the home of the Meagher County Museum. The Victorian landmark is made of hand-cut granite blocks hauled by oxen from the nearby Castle Mountains.

Lewistown has evolved from a small trading post to a ranching and business center during the homestead era. Today, you can catch a glimpse of the past at the Central Montana Museum through pioneer relics, blacksmith and cowboy tools, guns, Native American artifacts and artwork.

The mission of the Children's Museum of Bozeman is to enrich the lives of children and their families by providing unique, fun, interactive learning experiences that enhance their knowledge of the world.

The Children's Museum of Montana is full of innovative, hands-on activities and interactive exhibits. It offers the most fun per square foot for the young and the young at heart.

This museum displays the history of the Clark's Fork Valley. It is in one of the last class four (small, rural area railroad depots in the country. The depot, which is listed on the National Register, was 100 years old in 1999.

CM Russell Museum

The C.M. Russell has recently expanded and is now 30,000 square feet larger, featuring nine new galleries, and double the space devoted to Russell. We recommend groups to plan on spending at least two hours at the Museum.

Custer Battlefield Museum

The museum is located on the former site of Sitting Bull's camp, on the famous Garryowen bend of the Little Bighorn River, a traditional summer hunting campsite for many Plains Indian tribes.

Daniels County Museum & Pioneer Town

The Daniels County Museum & Pioneer Town, established in 1965, sits on 20 acres just west of Scobey, Montana and boasts 35 buildings that have been developed or restored to depict turn of the century businesses and homes.
