Little Hellgate Gulch Trail is a ridge trail, mainly used for hunting. The trail passes through private land within the forest boundary and the government does not have a right-of-way. The trail offers both hiking and camping opportunities.

Longfellow Park Trail (135) is actually an old road that is closed to motorized vehicles. It is a good trail to access Longfellow Park and beyond into Tizer Basin or Upper Beaver Creek. The trail is used mainly for hunting but it also accesses hiking and camping areas.

Mahogany Cove is located in southwest Montana on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. The cove is accessible by boat only and is located on the west shore of the reservoir. There are 3 picnic sites. Fishing may be enjoyed in the cove.

Nary Time Trail is mainly used for hunting accessibly. It provides opportunities for day hikes or short overnight trips. Accessible all year.

Ogden Mountain Trail is a very easy hike which follows the ridge line from Dalton Mountain to Ogden Mountain. The hike is through a closed canopy, with only glimpses of the Avon Valley. This is an excellent trail or family hiking. access is also available from Trail 401.

Road Runner RV Park is located on Highway 287 within the city limits of Townsend. Full hookup or camping is available. Free campfire wood is offered. We have laundry and showers for your convenience.

Sauerkraut Trail is one of the original accesses to the Lincoln View Mine, which is located near the end of the trail. As with many trails built on Forest Service Land it was constructed for purposes other than recreation.

Scooter Bay is a fishing access site on the Canyon Ferry Reservoir in southwest Montana. 2 restroom facilities only. Located near Goose Bay.

Shannon is a BLM recreation area located on the Canyon Ferry Reservoir in southwest Montana. This is a day use only facility with a boat dock and two ramps available. Handicapped parking and toilets available. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the lake.

Sheep Park Trail is a short trail that connects Trails 115 and 117. This trail provides hikers and campers with opportunities for loops or access to other trails.

Shining Times Outfitting offers black powder hunts in Montana's Gold West Country. Hunt elk, mule deer, whitetail, and antelope. Bow hunt elk and deer. We hunt on foot, horseback, and in 4-wheel drive pickups.

Silos Campground is located near Canyon Ferry Reservoir in west central Montana. The campground here is mostly grassy and in an open area with a few willows and Russian olives. There are 80 campsites, and water and handicapped accessible restrooms are provided.

Overlooking the beautiful Canyon Ferry Lake at the headwaters of the Mighty Mo, the Silo's Inn serves the 'Best BBQ in Montana.' The restaurant/bar specializes in Ernie's famous BBQ sauce, which can be shipped all over the world directly from the Silos.

Silos RV and Fishing Camp is located 8 miles north of Townsend, overlooking Canyon Ferry Lake. Silos RV offers 47 RV sites and 10 tent sites. We also have a store and you can purchase tackle, fishing licenses, and gasoline. There is a landing field next door and a restaurant nearby.
