Built in 1912, the Kempton Hotel was built by homesteaders in the area. Famous guests including Teddy Roosevelt and Calamity Jane have stayed in the hotel. The current owners have homesteaded in the area.

Terry is nestled by the Yellowstone River in the heart of agate country. Visitors can discover Terry's history at the Cameron Gallery featuring photos of eastern Montana as seen through the eyes of a pioneer British immigrant. (1894-1928).

On the edge of the scenic badlands and the home of the moss agate, the Prairie County Museum began in 1975 in the historic 1916 State Bank of Terry building and has grown into a complex that includes the 1906 State Bank of Terry building, the only steam heated outhouse this side of the Mississipp

Prairie Unique is scenically located on the Lewis and Clark Trail along the Yellowstone River below the badlands of the Calypso Trail in Prairie County.

Terry RV Oasis is a quiet campground within the small, friendly community of Terry. We offer shady and grassy camping spots with 6 tent sites and 10 RV sites. We have a large majority of pull-through spaces and can accommodate large rigs. We also have cable TV hook-ups.

Terry Super Valu located in downtown Terry is a full service grocery store. The bakery makes fresh bread and doughnuts everyday. Meat, cheese and vegetable trays are available upon request. Super Valu offers a wide selection of wine and beer.
