Capitol Rock National Natural Landmark

Capitol Rock, located in the Long Pines Unit in Montana, is a massive white limestone uplift that resembles the Nation's capitol building. Remnant of the once continuous blanket of Tertiary deposits that covered much of the Great Plains.

Carter County Chamber of Commerce

Home of one of the most significant local museums in Montana, Carter County Museum which features many fossils, artifacts and prehistoric specimens, including the nearly complete skeleton of an Anatosaurus, or duck-billed dinosaur.

Carter County Museum, founded in 1936, holds the distinct honor of being the first county museum founded in the State of Montana.

Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association is a medical complex that includes a clinic open from 9:00am-5:00pm, a pharmacy with the same hours as the clinic, a nursing home with 21 licensed beds, and a critical access hospital with an emergency room.

D J RV Park has 8 hook-ups. Electricity, water, sewer and trash removal are provided. Electrical service is 30 and 50 amp. Pull through spaces are available. We are located across the street from a City Park where there are picnic tables and playground equipment.

Worship during September through May 11:00am, during June through August 10:00am. Sunday School 9:45am to 10:45am. Wednesday night Bible study (June-December) 7:30pm. Home Bible studies (January-May) various evenings. Teen Youth Group grades 7-12 (September-May) Wednesday 7:30pm.

Ekalaka Park Campground is located on the Custer National Forest in southwest Montana. At an elevation of 3600 feet, the campground encompasses 5 acres. There are 5 campsites and a spring runs right through the campground. Restrooms are provided.

The First Baptist Church was established in 1949 and the unique log church was building in 1958. Sunday School starts at 9:30am followed by morning worship at 10:45am each Sunday. There is a Fellowship Dinner following the worship service the first Sunday of each month.

First National Bank

Our financial institution is open Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 3:00pm. We provide services to people who are not members of our financial institution or don't have an account with us. Canadian currency exchange is available.

Fruit Service and Repair, Inc. has a Napa auto parts store, and animal feed store, crop chemicals, and a snack bar. We also have a service station with gas, diesel, tires, oil changes, and general automotive repairs/services.

Guest House

The Guest House is the place to stay when traveling in southeastern Montana. It is a quiet, restful place to lay your head after a long day of touring our scenic hills, looking through our local museum, or just meeting new people.

J & J Guide Service

J & J Guiding Service in southeastern Montana is a second generation Montana outfitter with two camps in operation to insure the finest hunting available for whitetail, mule deer, antelope and archery elk.

Medicine Rocks State Park

As its name implies, Medicine Rocks was a place of 'big medicine' where Indian hunting parties conjured up magical spirits. 'As fantastically beautiful a place as I have ever seen,' said one of its first tourists in the late 1800's, a young rancher named Teddy Roosevelt.

Medicine Rocks Wesleyan Church

The Medicine Rocks Church was established in 1918 and located in the rolling prairie and pine-covered hills of eastern Montana. It is one mile south of historic Medicine Rocks State Park. Sunday School is conducted at 10:00am each Sunday followed by worship at 11:00am.

Midway Motel

Midway Motel takes pride in offering our customers a great value in lodging with friendly folks and nice clean rooms. All units are ground level with 2 queen beds, individual heat and air conditioners, cable and color TV's. A picnic area is available for your enjoyment.

Mon-Dak Outfitters

Mon-Dak Outfitters offers rifle and archery hunts for whitetail-mule deer and antelope. We also book a limited number of turkey and upland game bird hunts. Our hunts are offered in Montana and South Dakota, as our ranch headquarters are within 1/2 mile of the state line.

Rose Ranch

Experience a vacation with us in undiscovered, beautiful southeastern MT, on our real working ranch. No pop machines or curio shops here. We accept only one party per booking. Singles, couples and families welcome.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church

Second and fourth Saturdays at 4:00pm. First, third and fifth Saturdays at 11:00am. Saturday summer mass on the second and fourth Saturdays at 5:00pm. Sunday summer mass on first, third and fifth Sundays at 10:30am.

Sunset Campground is a 12 site campground with a shower building located next to the fairgrounds. Abundant hunting and sightseeing opportunities.
