Bratten Fishing Access does permit camping. There is a 7 day limit. A boat launch, toilets and access for camp trailers is available. Open all season. Good access to the Yellowstone River for fishing or floating.

Bridge Creek Trail (25) travels from Main Boulder Road near Bridge Creek to Bridge Lake. The trail is in good condition in the lower section, but the section above USGS Trail 24 is steep in places.

Burnt Out Lodge

The Burnt Out Lodge was built in 1996-97 out of logs harvested from the Drange Ranch lands. It is located on the ranch purchased in 1934 and that is now being worked by the third generation. This is their summer home and guests become a part of the family.

Canyon Creek Trail is a difficult, steep trail.

Chippy Park Campground

Chippy Park Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest. There are 7 sites with the largest available parking spur being 12' X 63'. This campground has fire rings, picnic tables, handicapped accessible toilets, and 2 hadicapped accessible sites. Local fishing access.

Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Our drive-up is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Copper Creek Trail (15) begins 3 miles south of Box Canyon off the Independence Road. The trail is an old sheep driveway that follows Copper Creek to the junction with Sheep Creek Trail 127, just below Hellroaring Divide.

Length: 3.9 miles. Wilderness, moderate difficulty, medium use

Crazy Mountain Museum

The Crazy Mountain Museum is a historical museum featuring exhibits that reflect the history of Sweet Grass County and the surrounding area. Exhibits include the following:

Crazy Mountain Wreaths and Accessories makes fresh evergreen wreaths, and other accessories. The wreaths are decorated with a red velvet bow and either white tipped cones or natural cones. We mail a 22-inch wreath anywhere in the lower 48 states by UPS.

Crystal Spring Ranch

Crystal Spring Ranch is located in the Absaroka/Beartooth mountain range. Our cabins are rustic, varying in size and 3 have fully equipped kitchens with shower/toilet facilities. There are two separate sleeping cabins with out kitchens and the use of a separate shower/toilet building.

CWC Ranch House

CWC Ranch is a 761 acre working cattle ranch. The Boulder River (one of Montana's best fly fishing rivers) is the eastern boundary of the ranch and offers approximately two miles of easy fishing access. The rainbow, brown, and native cut throat trout are guaranteed wild.

Davis Creek Trail (38) begins at West Boulder Trailhead, crosses the trail bridge at West Boulder Ranger Station, switch-backs through Forest Service horse pasture, and traverses 1/4 mile of private land.

Four person capacity; cost $25.00. Primitive road last 1/2 mile to trailhead not recommended for low clearance vehicles. Hikers need to ford Lower Deer Creek numerous times. Corrals available for horses, supplemental feed required. No power or drinking water. Creek water should be treated.

Derby Mountain Trail (126) starts at the West Bridger Rental Cabin. It travels southwest toward Derby Mountain, goes around the east side of Derby Mountain, and accesses Derby Road 6674. The trail terminates at Arch Rock.

Dry Fork Trail (13) begins near the end of East Boulder Road 205 and parallels the Dry Fork to Dry Fork Pass. The first 4 miles of the trail follow a dirt road and traverse some private land. Nice view from the Pass.

East Boulder Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest. There are 2 sites, both of which can accommodate trailers up to 20 feet long, but are not recommended for RVs. This campsite has a toilet, picnic tables, fire rings, and fishing access. No drinking water or firewood is provided.
