Buckhorn Bar & Cafe is located in downtown Poplar on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. The Buckhorn Cafe features a fine salad bar, prime rib, and Indian Taco's every Friday.

Fort Peck Community College (FPCC) is a public two-year tribally-controlled community college chartered by the government of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes.

About 6, 000 Sioux and Assinniboine live on the reservation, encompassing more than 2 million acres of land just east of Fort Peck Lake, almost to North Dakota, and from 50 miles south of Canada to the Missouri River in the south.

Our main branch is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Our drive-up bank is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

Lee Ann's Motel is the only motel in Poplar and is opened year round. Air conditioned comfort in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter. We provide non-smoking rooms, fax service, winter plug ins and have access to a Courtesy Van for the Wolf Point airport with prior notice.

Located on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, Poplar offers plenty of Indian culture. The reservation is home to the Assiniboine and Sioux tribes. The Poplar Museum (768-5212) and Tribal Museum (768-5155) feature tribal history and artifacts. Seasonal.

City Museum is housed in the old Tribal Jail built around 1920, now on the historic register. Frontier and Indian collections are displayed in the cells. We are open daily from June 1st to Labor Day, 11:00am - 5:00pm.
