Carl Creek Trail is mainly used during hunting season, but it does allow for short outings since the Trailhead is along Highway 12 and accessible by car. The trail has light use and is moderate in difficulty. Best time of year is summer.

Cascade Falls Trail (242) starts in the campground and ends at Cascade Falls Overlook. A brochure is available at the campground. There are benches at the overlook and along the trail.

Casey Meadows Trail

The Casey Meadows Trail (343) provides an easy hike into the Elkhorn Mountains. There is a gradual elevation gain on this three-mile walk to the meadows of about 1,300 feet. Just before you get to the meadow there is a campsite in the woods.

From the Casey Meadows Trail (343) it is approximately 6 miles to Casey Peak. Once you reach the Casey Peak Trail continue about 1.5 miles. This part of the trail has over a dozen switchbacks.

Cayuse Trail

The Cayuse Trail is mainly used for hunting, but it also makes a nice day hike. The trail has light use and is of moderate difficulty. Can be used all year.

Length: 2.0 miles.Trail Begins: Forest Road 359, Section 20.Trail Ends: Junction with Needham Mountain Trail 236.2

The CC Divide Trail (404.1, 3) is a scenic, mostly redgeline trail with beautiful views of seveeral drainages. It has several access points besides these listed. Please contact the Superior Ranger District and ask ranger about access.

Cedar Bar Faulkner Trail is mainly used during hunting season but does allow for short outings since the trailhead is along Highway 12 and accessible by car. The trail is rated difficult but has light use and can be accessed all year.

Cedar Creek Trail (141) runs adjacent to Cedar Creek for its entire length. A lower portion of the trail was once used as a wagon road for early-day mining. About 0.8 mile beyond the trailhead, Scenery Mountain Trail 649 departs to the right.

Cedar Log Lake Trail (104) climbs up to an alpine lake, just under the Divide. This trail is closed to motorized vehicles.

Cedar Peak Trail (510) is a connecting trail in the network between Clearwater Crossing on the West Fork of Fish Creek and the Idaho/Montana State Line Divide. Closed to motorized vehicles.

Centennial Grove Trail (514) is maintained as needed. Trail classified as easy. This is an accessible paved and sawdust trail. There is access to Skalkaho Creek. For day use only.

Center Creek Trail (463) is a cutoff trail between the Center Ridge Trail and the Monture Creek trails.

Center Ridge Trail (246) is a trail that takes the steep ridge route to Youngs Pass into the South Fork of the Flathead in the Bob Marshall Wilderness

Length: 13.0 miles.Trail Begins: Monture Guard Station.Trail Ends: Youngs Pass

The trailhead is undeveloped and the last mile of the Cherry Creek road is eroded and passable only by 4-wheel drive vehicles. The trail is open to motorized use and it is a popular area for motorcycle and ATV users.

Chief Joseph Cross Country Ski Trail is groomed weekly. Eight loop trails which provide a variety of lengths and skill levels. Trail system starts on north side of Highway 43 at Chief Joseph Pass. Plowed parking for 55 to 60 vehicles. Toilet and maps available at trailhead.

There is a stock ramp, hitch rail and a toilet at the trailhead for Trail 131 at Seymour Creek. On the eastern half of Chub Creek Trail 132 is a good grazing meadow in Chub Creek and also where Trail 170 junctions with Trail 131.

The hike along the Clarence-Rich Creek Trail (78) will take the traveler into some fantastic huckleberry country. Although there is broken timber, with heavy timber at the ridgetop up to Rich Creek, panoramic views of the surrounding area will leave a lasting impression on the hiker.
