Gateway Boat Campground

Gateway Boat Camp is located in Kootenai National Forest at an elevatin of 2460 feet. This boat camp is accessible by boat (must be beached), foot, or horseback only. It is not accessible to boats during reservoir drawdown. Check with the District office for current update.

Gipsy Lake Campground has 5 campsites and restroom facilities. Maximum trailer length of 15 feet. Stay limit of 14 days. Features fishing access, nearby trails, disabled access (toilets and trails).

Gold Creek Campground is located in Bitterroot National Forest. There are 4 campsites and restrooms at the campground. Please limit your stay to 14 days.

Gold Rush Campground is located in the Lolo National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 3,000 feet, this campground encompasses 3 acres. The campground serves as the trailhead for the Gold Rush Trail Number 562.

Grasshopper Campground

Grasshopper Campground is located in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. At an elevation of 6900 feet, the campground encompasses 9 acres with 24 designated campsites. The basic facilities including restrooms, picnic area for day use and drinking water are offered.

Grasshopper Creek Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Castle Mountains at an elevation of 5700 feet. Grasshopper Creek flows through the campground with sites among thick stand of conifers; the creek can be heard throughout campground.

This small site is located on the route to the Ten Lakes Scenic Area, a very pristine and remote portion of the state. The surrounding area is heavily forested and offers exceptional flora and fauna viewing opportunities.

Graves Bay Campground has 10 designated campsites. Restrooms available. Drinking water is not provided. The maximum recommended trailer length for this area is 22 feet.

Greek Creek Campground

Greek Creek Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest in southwest Montana at an elevation of 5000 feet. There are 14 sites with the largest parking spur available being 30 feet by 60 feet. Seven sites are handicapped accessible.

Greenough Lake Campground is located in Custer National Forest in southwest Montana. At an elevation of 8,000 feet, this campground encompasses 8 acres. There are 18 specified campsites, provided with restrooms and hand-pumped water.

Grizzly Campground is located in Lolo National Forest. At an elevation of 4,200 feet, there are 9 campsites, cold drinking water from a hand pump and Ranch Creek on site and Rock Creek within a mile. Go fishing at Grizzly Campground or begin a hike at the nearby Grizzly Trailhead.

Half Moon Campground

Halfmoon Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest in southwest Montana. At an elevation of 6500 feet, it covers an area of 3 acres. It is a basic campground with 8 campsites, restrooms and drinking water provided. Trash removal and firewood, however, are not provided.

Handkerchief Lake Campground is located in the Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 3,500 feet, the campground encompasses an area of 4 acres. It consists of 9 campsites in brushy timber on the shore of this 32-acre lake.

Harry's Flat Campground is located in the Lolo National Forest in northwest Montana with fishing access nearby. At an elevation of 4,300 feet, the campground encompasses 7 acres. There are 18 campsites at Harry's Flat, and drinking water (5/15 - 9/30) and restrooms are provided.

Hay Canyon Campground is located in Lewis and Clark National Forest. There are 9 campsites near scenic hiking trails and fishing access. Restrooms are provided. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 30 feet. Please limit your stay to 16 days.

Hells Canyon Campground

Hells Canyon Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest in southwest Montana. At an elevation of 5500 feet, the campground covers an area of 5 acres. This is a basic campground includes 11 campsites with restrooms but no drinking water, trash removal or firewood provided.

Hicks Park Campground

Hick's Park Campground is located in Gallatin National Forest in southwest Montana. At an elevation of 5500 feet, the campground encompasses an area of 5 acres. It has 16 campsites with handicapped-accessible restrooms and drinking water provided.

Hilltop Campground is located in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. At an elevation of 6800 feet, the campground encompasses a sprawling 50 acres. This is a forest service campground with 18 tent and trailer sites provided.

Holiday Campground is located in Custer National Forest. There are four campsites with primitive restrooms. Water is not provided, so remember to bring your own. Maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 23 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days. No fee is required.

Holland Lake Campground

Holland Lake Campground is located in the Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 3,500 feet, the campground encompasses an area of 24 acres. There are 40 designated campsites along 2 loops. Sites are roomy and somewhat private due to the thick brush in the area.
