Big Creek Baldy Mountain Lookout

This is lookout contains 144 square feet and is located on a 40-foot tower. From the top the visitor will view the southern portion of the Northwest Peak Scenic Area, Yaak valley, Canadian Rockies, and the Tobacco valley to the east. Four person capacity; cost $25.00.

Four person capacity; cost: $30.00. Two access routes; the more difficult is 5.3 miles or easier 10 mile route. Area closed to motorized vehicles. All motorized vehicles are prohibited in the Bozeman Creek drainage.

Six person capacity; cost $30. Three day limit depending upon number of reservations. Firewood is provided. Recommended access is by snowmobile or cross-country skiing. No pets.

There is a $20 a night usage fee. The cabin will accommodate up to three people. This is a remote cabin. Access by road with a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

There is a $30 a night usage fee and a maximum stay of five nights. The cabin will accommodate up to four people. Four bunks, a wood stove, and a propane cook stove are provided. Potable water is available mid-May through November. No water in the winter. No pets allowed.

Eight person capacity; cost $35.00. Wood heating stove, propane lantern are provided. Drinking water is not provided. Accessible by snowmobile or cross-country skis in winter (5 miles), high clearance vehicles in summer.

Two person capacity; cost $20. From the lookout you can see spectacular views of the Thompson River drainage. The lookout building is rustic. It was constructed in 1927 and is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.

There is a $25 a night usage fee. The cabin will accommodate up to four people. In the summer, renters must make a 1.5 mile hike or 4x4 up unmaintained Goose Lake Jeep Road from Fisher Creek Road. Winter access via snowmobile or cross-country ski from Cooke City.

Twelve person capacity; cost $45.00. Three day stay limit. Propane heat, refrigerator and lights in cabin. During winter, renter will have to ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile a short distance from road 210. No pets.

Sex Peak Lookout

Four person capacity; cost $25.00. This lookout offers an excellent view of the Clark Fork Valley and surrounding area. It is equipped with two single beds and mattresses, chairs, bench, wood heating stove, bucket, and cleaning gear.

Four person capacity with loft. Cost $30.00. Normally plowed within 3.5 miles of cabin. For summer use check with district.

Four person capacity; cost $20.00. May require about a 1/4 mile walk in from December 1 - April 1, depending on snow conditions. Contains wood stove and propane gas stove. Well and toilets located across the road at Squaw Rock Campground.

There is a $30 a night usage fee. The cabin will accommodate up to four people. No motorized access to cabin. Minimum 1.3 mile hike or ski. Plowing conditions may require an additional 1.8 miles of non-motorized access.

There is a $25 a night usage fee and a maximum stay of five nights. The cabin will accommodate up to six people. Drive to cabin in the summer (6/1 - 9/15).

There is a $30 a night usage fee. The cabin will accommodate up to four people. Drive directly to the tower. Microwave, refrigerator, and heat provided. Renters must furnish their own water.

Four person capacity; cost $30.00. Wood heating stove and propane lantern are provided. No drinking water. Summer access 1.9 miles by trail on foot, horseback, or motorized vehicle less than 50 inches wide.

Four person capacity; cost $20.00. Access on snowmobile trail. Twelve miles from end of plowed county road to cabin. Available to rent only in the winter.
