West Fork Bitterroot Vacation Retreat

We rent a furnished vacation home with an unattached apartment over an adjacent garage. The property is located 14 miles southwest of Darby, just off state road 473 (West Fork Road) in a ponderosa pine/douglas fir forest on the east flank of Tropper Peak, the highest peak in the Bitterroot Mountains. The West Fork of the Bitterroot River is a half mile away.

This timber frame house was built by my father 14 years ago; it is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, modern kitchen, lots of windows, wood stove, deck, greenhouse, full basement and washer & dryer. There's also an apartment with a queen size bed & half bath above an unattached garage.

It is a peaceful setting a half mile from West Fork Road and is very private. Guide service is available for fishing, bicycling, back packing, horse packing, white water and flat water river rafting.

2 'full sized' futon couches/beds were added in 1999 so there are now 5 beds.

Rental rates are $125.00 daily (1 night, 2 days (11:00am check out) $700.00 weekly (6 nights, 7 days)).
