Bear Creek Wildlife Management Area encompasses 3,458 acres; and Bear Creek Angus Ranch Conservation Easement - 5,278 acres.

Beartooth Wildlife Management Area's goal is to provide wildlife habitat for a variety of species, primarily elk, and to provide recreational opportunities.

Browns Lake is a shallow, productive 500-acre lake surrounded by open sagebrush grasslands and aspen groves. It's an extremely reliable place to see both bald eagles and osprey (especially in the spring), and almost always has significant numbers of waterfowl.

Blackfoot-Clearwater Wildlife Management Area encompasses 65,489 acres.

Management goal: To provide winter range for elk primarily, and for white-tailed and mule deer secondarily.

Each winter when the snow deepens in the high country, about 150 elk descend to their winter home on the Blackleaf. The Blackleaf joins the Sun River, Pine Butte, Ear Mountain and the Boone and Crockett Ranch to form a network of snowfree refuges for thousands of elk.

Calf Creek Wildlife Management Area encompasses 2,333 acres.

Management goal: Primarily to provide winter range for elk and compatible recreational opportunities for the public.

Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area encompasses 5,000 acres.

Management goal: To provide and improve habitat for ducks, geese and non-game species and to provide wildlife viewing and hunting opportunities.

Dome Mountain Wildlife Management Area encompasses 3,770 acres.

Management goal: To maintain the quality and quantity of vegetation in an improving condition on historic elk winter range.

Ear Mountain is a Wildlife Management Area with access to the North Fork of Willow Creek. It encompasses 3,047 acres.

Management goal: To provide wildlife habitat for mule deer, bighorn sheep, grizzly bears and black bears, and access to public lands along the Rocky Mountain Front.

Elk Island Wildlife Management Area encompasses 1,046 acres.

Management goal: To provide maximum hunting opportunities, primarily for white-tailed deer and pheasants, while also maintaining wildlife populations and the unique riparian ecosystem in a viable and healthy condition.

Haymaker Wildlife Management Area encompasses 1360 acres.

Management goal: The Haymaker Wildlife Management Area (HWMA) was purchased in 1957 to provide winter range for elk, allow for expansion of the base herd and alleviate depredation on privately owned lands.

Isaac Homestead State Wildlife Management Area is located in southeast Montana on the Yellowstone River. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed in the area. There is a boat launch for carry-in launching only.

Judith River Wildlife Management Area encompasses 7,745 acres. Management goal: To provide high-quality and abundant vegetation for wintering elk and other wildlife species, to keep elk numbers in balance with available forage, and to provide public recreational opportunities

O'Connell Ranch Lyons Creek Easement encompasses 4,154 acres.

Management goal: To conserve and protect in perpetuity in wildlife habitat while providing public hunting access.

Mill Creek Fee Title encompasses 2,210 acres.

Management goal: To conserve and protect in perpetuity in wildlife habitat while providing public hunting access.

Mount Haggin Wildlife Management Area

Mount Haggin Wildlife Management Area encompasses 56,151 acres.

Management goal: To provide year-round habitat for wildlife, emphasizing moose and mule deer, and to provide public outdoor recreational opportunities.

Mount Silcox Wildlife Management Area encompasses 1,552 acres.

Ninepipe and Pablo National Wildlife Refuge

This exceptional wetland complex contains over 800 glacial potholes and a 1,770-acre reservoir. About 200 bird species have been recorded. A jointly managed viewing area is just off US Highway 93 on the east side of the reservoir, about 0.75 mile south of the junction with Secondary Route 212.

Sieben Ranch Rattlesnake Easement encompasses 10,867 acres.

Management goal: To conserve and protect in perpetuity in wildlife habitat while providing public hunting access.
