The Goat Haunt Overlook is a fine view of the Waterton Valley and Olson Creek drainage. The climb to the site of an old fire lookout is steep, but the view at the trail's end is well worth the effort.

The Grinnell Trail begins at the south end of the Many Glacier Hotel or at the picnic area. At the head of Josephine Lake, the trail branches to Grinnell Lake (3.5 miles), with little elevation gain, or to the glacier (5 miles), with a 1500 foot rise.

Gunsight Pass Trail is an extremely popular backpacking route that ascends to the Continental Divide from the St. Mary valley and crosses rocky ledges and alpine meadows to Sperry Chalets before descending to Lake McDonald. The Trail begins at Jackson Overlook and follows the course of the St.

The Harrison Lake Trail follows Middle Fork of the Flathead east. At 5.3 miles, the trail reaches a junction with Lincoln Creek Trail. Stay right for Harrison Lake. At 7.1 miles junction with Harrison Lake Trail, then turn left for Harrison Lake.

Helen Lake Trail is a continuation of the Elizabeth Lake Trail. Hikers travel south along the shoreline of Elizabeth Lake. This is an easy, picturesque trail as hikers pass through the alpine valley with high mountains close in on three sides.

The Hellroaring Trail travels from the Mammoth-Tower Road to the park's north boundary, and continues into the Gallatin National Forest. The trail follows Hellroaring Creek through sageland and stands of Douglas fir and past rock outcrops over 2 billion years old.

To reach Hidden Lake, simply park at the Logan Pass Visitor Center. During the summer, make sure you arrive early. The parking lot at Logan Pass frequently fills up early and will remain full into early evening.

Highline Trail-NPS

Highline Trail begins at Logan Pass and runs below the crest of the Garden Wall to Granite Park Chalets. From Granite Park, the route continues north, following the Northern Highline and then descends and then rises again to the Fifty Mountain Campground.

Hole in The Wall trail is a short spur trail off of the Boulder Pass Trail at 16.6 km that leads to a backcountry campsite. The campsite is situated in a meadow carved in Mount Custer.

The Howe Lake Trail winds 2 miles into Howe Lake, then continues 1.8 miles to connect with the Howe Ridge Trail. The Howe Ridge Trail is a secondary fire access trail that an eastward ridgeline from the Howe Creek bridge to its junction with the Trout Lake Trail, above Kelly Camp Trailhead.

Huckleberry Trail begins near McGee Meadows and climbs to McGee creek, then continues to climb until it reaches the ridgeline, and then turns north, following the crest of the Apgar Mountains for 1.5 miles to the lookout.

The hike up Iceberg Trail begins at a short connecting trail that climbs for several hundred yards to join the main trail. The trail then turns northwest and passes below Altyn Peak and Mount Wilbur and then rises across the valley to the south.

Jackson Glacier Trail is a primitive trail and is no longer brushed out and can be difficult to follow.

Lake Josephine Trail is accessed by a paved footpath from the upper Swiftcurrent boat dock and runs west to the foot of Lake Josephine where it continues around the north shore of the lake as a dirt trail. At midpoint along the lake, a trail to Grinnell Glacier turns and climbs to the west.

The Kishenehn Creek Trail is 4.0 miles one way. Mostly level, two creek crossings.

Lake Isabel can be accessed by hiking the trail departing from the north end of the Walton Ranger Station complex, which is located on US Highway 2 at the southernmost extremity of the park

The Lake McDonald Ranger Station is located at Fish Creek Campground or 2.8 miles west on North Lake McDonald Road, and then two miles to Kelly Camp. From the campground, the trail follows the lakeshore to the southwest, reaching the Camas Road near Fish Creek. Seldom used. Hard to find.
