Hyalite Reservoir is located 10.5 miles up Hyalite Canyon. The reservoir was constructed in the late 1940's and enlarged in 1993. It contains cutthroat trout and arctic grayling. A 'no wake' rule has been instituted, allowing only low speed motoring for trolling.

Located in White Sulphur Springs on US Highway 89 between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. General information and maps are available. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Kootenai National Forest is located in the extreme northwest corner of Montana, bordered on the north by Canada and the west by Idaho. Ranges of high, craggy peaks mark the Forest with 8,738 feet. Snowshoe peak in the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness reaching the highest point.
The Lewis and Clark National Forest is divided into the eastern half known as the Jefferson Division and the western half known as the Rocky Mountain Division.
The Lincoln Ranger Station is one of 3 on the Helena National Forest. General forest information is available. Visitor maps can be purchased as well as permits for firewood and Christmas trees. Weekday hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm.
CAMPING: Developed sites usually contain a parking spur, table, fireplace, toilets and water. The developed campgrounds which require a fee are signed and time limits, if any, are posted. For the more venturesome, there are numerous isolated roadside and backcountry campsites.
The Missoula District Office offers visitor services and information for the Missoula area. Firewood permits, cabin rental information and some reservations are also available at the front office.
This Ranger Station is located in the northernmost part of Montana, just 8 miles south of the US/Canada border (magnificent views of the Canadian Rockies may be seen). Eureka is a quiet community nestled in the Tobacco Valley and surrounded by mountains and fresh water lakes.
