The Department of Art coordinates everyday access to the Northcutt Steele Gallery, located on the first floor of the Liberal Arts Building.

Visiting The Basement Gallery at Bud Lilly's Trout Shop is often the highlight that completes your fishing vacation. Prints, lithos and carvings of native cutthroat, rainbows, and brown trout are available for purchase.

Art work in all media is displayed in The Gallery with a different artist featured each month. Many of the artists are talented local artists. Various types of art include oil, water color, acrylic, and pastel paintings. Unique items offered are paintings on agate slabs.

Thomas Nygard is the principal of the Thomas Nygard Gallery and has a developed a reputation as having one of the keenest eyes for quality fine art in the business. Mr. Nygard came to Bozeman, Montana in 1971 pursing a slice of the West and an art education.
