Powell County Museum

The story of Deer Lodge unfolds when you step into the Powell County Museum of local history. Experience what life was like in early Montana through the displays and photos of the area. See authentic Mastodon bones uncovered in a gravel quarry outside of town, or the collection of antique slot machines and juke boxes. Other exhibits include antique gun, knife and sword collections. On the lower level is a photo equipment display and more than 22,000 photos of events and people from Powell County.
