The primary use on Packer Creek Trail (266) is hunting. There's an outfitter camp about 3 miles in. It's not advisable to drink the water in the area of Tar Box Mine until rehabilitation if finished, due to tailing contamination. The trail crosses four creeks which dry up in the summer. Bring Water. This is an access to the CC Divide Trail also.
