CL Ranch Cross-Country Ski Trail

CL Ranch includes eight miles of groomed trails, with a trailhead that starts you skiing at about 6,000 feet high in the foothills of the Crazy Mountains. Skim across the open pastures with views of Emigrant Peak more than 50 miles to the south and the Big Belts another 50 miles to the northwest. Ski a little farther and you're into the trees, where the marked trails twist through thin stands of timber. Skiing costs $10 per day, per person. Pay at the trailhead at a well-marked honor box, which includes maps of the ranch and mandatory liability release forms.
