Working Ranch

We have a farm and ranch operation. We have cattle, horses, hay and are starting an herb farm. Cattle are worked several times of the year. Horses are worked all year long. The haying operation lasts all summer. The herb farm is a lot of hand labor.

The Lazy K Bar Ranch, operated by the Van Cleve family since 1880, is located on 22,000 acres at 6,000 feet in a beautiful mountain canyon. The ranch is home to the Van Cleves who offer their hospitality to a selected number of guests each summer.

Logan's Guest Ranch is a family owned and operated working cattle ranch. With us you will get a taste of what ranch life is really like in rural Montana. In the winter months our cows are fed. In early February and March the baby calves are born.

Lonesome Spur Ranch is a fifth generation working cattle ranch, 45 miles south of Billings on Highway 310, between the Beartooth and Pryor Mountain Ranges. We invite you to join our family and take part in ranching activities as the season demands.

Montana River Ranch is a beautiful log cabin nestled into a cozy surrounding of cottonwood trees overlooking acres of farmland. Our newly constructed three-level log cabin lends itself to a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere with a style of gracious living from years gone by.

Our accommodations allow you to choose between sleeping beneath a roof of stars, in our traditional Indian Teepees or modern cabins.

Meals are home-cooked and served family style featuring our ranch raised beef.

Rocking Z Guest Ranch has easy access. Located 26 miles north of Montana capital city, Helena, in our own little valley the Rocking Z Guest Ranch shares its occupation of the land with ranch activities that have been done by the Wirths for four generations.

Experience a vacation with us in undiscovered, beautiful southeastern MT, on our real working ranch. No pop machines or curio shops here. We accept only one party per booking. Singles, couples and families welcome.

Enjoy the quiet wide open spaces of eastern Montana on our working ranch. Each season brings a different kind of work for those enjoying our ranch vacations. Our teams of Clydesdales pull the wagons for our wagon trains held throughout the summer.

Sweet Grass Ranch, on the National Register of Historic Places, is an operating cattle ranch. It is secluded in the mountains forty miles from Big Timber.

Tillmans is a beautifully restored roadhouse with rooms accommodating up to 10 guests. Originally built in the early 1900's, Tillmans served as a stop over point for people traveling to and from Malta in the Missouri River area.
