The Big Springs Trout Hatchery provides cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout, graylines, and kokanee salmon to locations all over Montana. The hatchery holds its maximum number of fish in the spring - up to 2 million at that time.
The outdoor facilities at Creston Fish and Wildlife Center are open to visitors during daylight hours 7 days a week, year-round. Fingerlings and older fish live in the outdoor raceways.
Ennis National Fish Hatchery is very different from most other hatcheries. Most hatcheries produce fish of various sizes and then stock these fish in public lakes and streams, providing anglers with hours of fun. Ennis Hatchery, however, operates as a brood stock hatchery.
