Fireman's Park is a small city park in the downtown area, an oasis for picnicking or just relaxing. In the summer it is bordered by 'Elsie's Garden', a lovely area of multi-colored flowers.
The Great Northern Carousel is a family affair for Alan Nicholson, wife and five children. All have contributed in one way or another. Molly, eight years old, helped by having her class test ride the Carousel.
This outstanding 42-acre city park runs along clean and beautiful Rattlesnake Creek for about 1 mile and is a diverse mix of cottonwood bottomlands and coniferous forest. A paved trail runs the length of the park and numerous unpaved paths go near the creek and toward more undisturbed places.
Hooper Park Recreation Area is located in Lincoln. Elevation: 5500. Picnic shelter. Toilets are handicapped accessible. Water available, trails and pets allowed.
The Kim Williams Nature Trail is named in remembrance of Missoula's naturalist Kim Williams. This is a good example of a 'Rails to Trails' project. The trail uses the old Milwaukee Railroad grade which is 2.5 miles long and goes through a 134-acre natural area.
Kirk City Park is a 13.3 acre park with grills and tables. Groups of individuals who want to reserve a Bozeman City Park may do so by calling the City of Bozeman Division of Parks or by stopping by the City Shop Complex at Tamarack and Bozeman Streets.
The Lewis & Clark Park features a large playground area, a large covered picnic area, and lots of trees and grass to run around on. The park is close to a gas station and restaurant to get snacks or dinner. The park is a great place for families or just to get some solitude for yourself.
Lewistown City Pool has an Olympic size swimming pool with two water slides and an adjacent wading pool for toddlers. The pool is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:15pm - 9:00pm and on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:15pm - 7:00pm.
The Old Lexington Stamp Mill was Butte's first stamp mill. It began as a five stamp mill and was erected on the site by Charles Hendrie in 1867. A stamp mill is an ore crushing machine that pounds rock into fine sand.
