Wasabi Sushi Bar is well known in Whitefish for its sleek, modern decor. Wasabi-green walls hold large contemporary art pieces by local artists, the high ceiling, painted salmon-egg orange, has large mirrors angled down upon the sushi bar enabling guests to observe food preparation. A mix of rock, blues, and reggae keep the mood light. But don't be fooled by the casual atmosphere. Culinary institute of America graduate Scott Nagel has put together a menu fusing Asian interests with classic French training. The food is fine, the presentation worthy of a Food and Wine Magazine article. Backed up by great service and small vineyard wines, Wasabi is a sure thing!
