The Buffington Recreation Site is a day area for picnicking, hiking, and other recreational activities. At an elevation of 3,500 feet, this site encompasses an area of 2 acres. There are picnic tables, toilets and water at the site. Pets are allowed.
Bull River Campground is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 2200 feet, the campground has 26 campsites; 2 pull-through sites. Restrooms and drinking water are provided.
Our cabins are located in Cooke City. Two are sleeping rooms for two to four people with refrigerator, microwave and full bath. One cabin sleeps four to six people with full kitchen and bath. Log structure all wood interior, carpet and or rugs, heat, screened windows.
The Burnt Out Lodge was built in 1996-97 out of logs harvested from the Drange Ranch lands. It is located on the ranch purchased in 1934 and that is now being worked by the third generation. This is their summer home and guests become a part of the family.
