An unusual and entertaining store, Rare Earth has a real working sluice allowing visitors to mine for Montana sapphires, gold, garnets or gemstones. In addition visitors can have fun filling a bag from the selection of stones in a 'wall of rocks.'

As the name implies Rare Earth specializes in raw and polished rocks, fossils and minerals from the Western United States and around the world. Jewelry selections include Montana Sapphires as well as Idaho opals and garnets. The store carries stone-related products, skulls, pelts, Made in Montana products, pottery, adult and children's apparel, Montana and Yellowstone souvenir items and a vast array of 'Neat Stuff.'
