Activities
The Missoula Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB) is Missoula's official tourism promotion agency. The MCVB provides information to anyone interested in visiting the Missoula area. Our travel consultants will help plan everything from a solo journey to a family vacation to a small meeting, conference or convention, and will also assist with the necessary arrangements for your trip. We are happy to suggest places to stay and things to do, events to attend and 'must see' attractions.
Missoula is a unique and eclectic community from the Carousel and play area built entirely by volunteers, to the professional dramatic productions presented by the Missoula Community Theatre. You'll find community pride along with good old-fashioned hospitality.
Missoula's history is rich with Native American culture, the travels of Lewis and Clark, early settlers, railroads, smoke jumpers and lumber mills. Missoula's present reflects the diversity of its' residents and provides something for every traveler. The University of Montana is home to Grizzly and Lady Grizzly sports teams that draw spectators from around the region. The University also offers lecture series, concerts and dramatic productions. The Missoula Children's theatre presents performances from feature actors ranging from local children to Broadway stars. International events like the International Wildlife Festival, the International Choral Festival and the Festival of the Book, along with local gatherings such as the Farmers Market and Wednesday's Out-to-Lunch series are part and parcel of the Missoula experience for locals and visitors alike.
